About the opportunity
This role will suit a passionate Governance Risk & Compliance professional with experience in APRA regulated financial institutions.
As a senior professional in the PFS team you will work closely with the team in delivering a range of independent reviews, internal audits and advice for clients.
Working hours: Part time (flexible hours) or full time 37.5 hours per week.
Firm policy encourages staff to attend the Sydney office and/or client sites 40% of the work week. The majority of clients are based in Sydney CBD or North Sydney.
About the role
Client-facing role within the Risk Advisory practice within PFS, assisting PFS Principals, Practice Leaders and Staff to deliver predominantly risk management and Internal Audit related projects.
Clients may include APRA and ASIC-regulated institutions, regulators themselves, holders of Australian Financial Services Licenses, accounting/audit firms, not-for-profit organisations and other financial and non financial corporations.
We are open to candidates at Senior Consultant level, Manager level or Senior Manager level with salary commensurate with experience & qualifications.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Review, and provide advice and guidance to clients in relation to their risk and Internal audit needs and obligations and assist clients to meet these obligations.
- Review and provide advice and guidance to clients in relation to various operational activities that impact on the client’s risk management framework.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of, and interpret on behalf of clients, industry developments relevant legislation, regulations and prudential standards and guidance.
- Develop and review internal policies and procedures for clients.
- Develop and review clients’ disclosure documents such as product disclosure statements, target market determinations.
- Construct and implement compliance, risk management and incident management monitoring and reporting frameworks for clients using compliance software.
- Conduct independent reviews of risk & compliance obligations eg CPS220, SPS220, CPS511
- Assist with preparing proposals and tenders
About You
Our ideal candidate will come from a risk and compliance background with experience in advising and/or working in APRA regulated financial institutions OR a financial services auditor from an accounting firm.

- Skilled in technology applications relevant to risk & compliance including MS Office suite or products as well as familiar with one or more GRC systems
